Maintenance of loader

The maintenance of the loader is the key to ensuring the long-term stable operation of the equipment and extending its service life.

The maintenance of loaders is divided into: daily maintenance, regular maintenance and long-term maintenance.

Loader

1. Daily maintenance/Mantenimiento diario

1) Clean up the work site/Limpiar el lugar de trabajo
Reasonable cleaning of the work site can effectively reduce the wear and tear of the loader and reduce the number of repairs. Before work, you should pay attention to clean up the stones, gravel, mud and other debris in the work area.
2) Pay attention to the oil and water levels/Preste atención a los niveles de aceite y agua.
The oil and water levels of the loader are very important for the normal operation of the machine. Before work every day, check whether the oil and water levels meet the standards. If they are insufficient, add them in time.
• Engine oil: Check the oil level (10 minutes after shutdown), and add the same type of oil if it is insufficient.
• Hydraulic oil: The oil level should be at the center line of the oil gauge. If it is contaminated or emulsified, it needs to be replaced.
• Coolant: The liquid level should be between the scale lines in the water tank to avoid water shortage and high temperature.
• Fuel: Water in the drain bowl (diesel engines).
Regularly cleaning the loader’s air filter and air intake holes can effectively protect the engine and reduce damage caused by air pollution.
4) Inspection of key parts/nspección de piezas clave
• Tires/tracks: Check whether the tire pressure is normal (generally 0.3-0.35MPa), whether there are cracks; track tightness (sagging 10-20mm).
• Bolt tightening: Focus on checking the wheel hub, drive shaft, and bucket connection bolts.
• Leak check: Check for leaks in hydraulic lines, engine oil pan, and transmission.
5) Operation test/Prueba de funcionamiento
• After starting, run the vehicle at idle speed for 3-5 minutes and check whether the instruments (water temperature, oil pressure, etc.) are normal.
• Test steering, brakes, and lights for sensitivity.

2. Regular maintenance/Mantenimiento regular

1) Change the engine oil/ Cambiar el aceite del motor
Regularly changing the engine oil can extend the service life of the engine and reduce the failure rate. It is recommended to change the engine oil every 100 hours.
2) Replace the air filter/Reemplace el filtro de aire
Regularly replacing the air filter can protect the engine and reduce damage caused by dust and other debris clogging the filter. It is recommended to replace the air filter every 500 hours.
3) Replace the hydraulic oil/Reemplace el aceite hidráulico
Regular replacement of hydraulic oil can maintain the normal operation of the hydraulic system and extend the service life of the hydraulic system. It is recommended to replace the hydraulic oil every 1000 hours.

3. Maintenance of chassis/Mantenimiento del chasis

Regularly checking the chain tension can ensure the normal operation of the transmission system and prevent loosening or even chain falling off.
2) Cleaning tires/Limpieza de neumáticos
Regular tire cleaning can reduce external wear on the tires and extend the service life of the tires.
3) Check the brake system/Compruebe el sistema de frenos
Regular inspection of the brake system can effectively avoid traffic accidents caused by poor braking. Replace the brake pads when they are worn more than 1/2 and check the brake fluid level.

4. Long-term parking and maintenance/ Estacionamiento y mantenimiento de largo plazo

1) Cleaning equipment: Clean the car body thoroughly to prevent corrosion.
2) Oil protection:
o After changing the engine oil, run the engine for 5 minutes before parking.
o Fill the fuel tank and add corrosion inhibitor.
3) Anti-rust treatment: Apply anti-rust grease to exposed metal parts (such as bucket blades).
4) Regular start-up: Start the machine once a month and run it for 10 minutes to lubricate all parts.

5. Seasonal maintenance/Mantenimiento estacional

• Winter:
o Change to lower viscosity oil (such as SAE 10W-30).
o Use antifreeze (grade below -35℃).
o The diesel engine is equipped with a preheating device.
• Summer:
o Strengthen radiator cleaning and avoid high temperature.
o Check A/C refrigerant pressure (if equipped).

6. Notes

• Keep a maintenance log: record the time, items, and parts replaced for each maintenance.
• Use original accessories: Non-original filter elements may result in insufficient filtration accuracy.
• Professional maintenance: Complex faults (such as transmission slippage) require contacting the manufacturer for service.

Summarize

Maintaining your loader is the key to ensuring its efficient operation and extended service life.
Regular cleaning and keeping clean, lubrication, tire maintenance, fuel and filter replacement, regular inspection and maintenance, and training in driving and operating skills are all important measures to keep the loader running normally. Proper care and maintenance will keep the loader in the best condition to meet the needs of various engineering and mining operations. Through systematic maintenance, the sudden failure rate can be reduced by more than 60% and the operating efficiency can be significantly improved.
