Three common faults of road roller gearbox and their troubleshooting methods

Problem 1: The vehicle cannot drive or has difficulty shifting gears

Reason analysis:
1.1 The gear shifting or gear selection flexible shaft is improperly adjusted or stuck, causing the gear shifting or gear selection operation to be unsmooth.
1.2 The main clutch is not completely separated, resulting in the power not being completely cut off when shifting gears, causing difficulty in shifting.
1.3 The bearings are severely worn, the parallelism between the main and driven shafts is reduced, and the gears cannot mesh correctly.
1.4 The gears are severely worn, making it difficult to mesh the active and passive gears.
1.5 The shift fork is excessively worn, the shift fork stroke is limited when shifting gears, and the sliding gear cannot reach the meshing position.

Solution:
1.1 Readjust the stroke of the gear shift or gear selection flexible shaft to ensure smooth operation.
1.2 Recheck and adjust the main clutch to ensure complete separation.
1.3 Replace severely worn bearings and restore the parallelism of the main and driven shafts.
1.4 Inspect and replace damaged gears in pairs to ensure smooth gear meshing.
1.5 Weld and repair or replace excessively worn shift forks to ensure normal shifting stroke.

Problem 2: The temperature is too high

Reason analysis:
2.1 Insufficient or excessive lubricating oil leads to increased friction and increased temperature.
2.2 The seal is damaged, causing oil leakage and affecting the lubrication effect.
2.3 The ventilation holes are blocked, resulting in poor heat dissipation and increased temperature.

Solution:
2.1 Add or drain an appropriate amount of lubricating oil to ensure good lubrication effect.
2.2 Replace damaged seals to prevent oil leakage.
2.3 Clean the ventilation holes to ensure good heat dissipation.

Problem 3: Too much noise

Reason analysis:
3.1 The gears are severely worn, resulting in poor gear meshing and noise.
3.2 The bearing is damaged, friction increases, and noise is generated.

Solution:
Replace severely worn gears or bearings to eliminate the source of noise.
