What precautions should be taken for daily maintenance of the loader fuel tank?

The loader fuel tank is of great significance to the diesel-driven loader. If the diesel in the tank is not clean, it will significantly increase the wear or corrosion of the precision connection parts such as the fuel system plunger, the oil delivery valve, and the injector needle valve, thereby greatly reducing the reliability and durability of the machine operation. Therefore, attention should be paid to the daily maintenance of the fuel tank. So, what are the precautions for the daily maintenance of the loader fuel tank? Let’s take a look.

1. Before adding diesel into the fuel tank, it should be allowed to settle for more than 48 hours to prevent impurities in the oil from being brought into the tank.

2. Loaders are often scattered on site. Since it is inconvenient to open and return to the oil depot for refueling, they usually use oil barrels to deliver oil to the construction site. At this time, the pumping unit that refuels the machine must be clean and pollution-free, and it is also necessary to avoid pumping the settled oil at the bottom of the barrel into the oil tank.

3. After get off work or before get off work every day, the fuel tank should be filled with oil to avoid condensation and dripping on the inner wall of the empty tank, and diesel flowing into it at night. It is required that the quality shovel and other accessories can identify the public number, and open the drain valve before starting work to discharge the dirty oil or water deposited at the bottom of the tank.

4. During the operation of the machine, you should always know the amount of oil in the tank. When the oil is insufficient, you should add oil in time to prevent the dirty oil or air at the bottom of the tank from entering the fuel system due to the depletion of oil storage, which will affect the normal operation of the diesel engine.

5. The exhaust hole on the fuel tank cap should be kept cleared regularly. If it is blocked, negative pressure will be formed in the fuel tank, reducing the oil pressure and oil output, so that the power of the diesel engine cannot be fully exerted.

6. When the fuel tank leaks or the switch is not closed tightly, it will not only pollute the environment and easily cause fire, but also waste diesel and increase operating costs. At this time, the machine must be stopped for welding or replacement of the switch. Do not continue to operate reluctantly, otherwise the leakage will become more and more serious under the vibration of the machine, causing greater losses.

7. Clean the fuel tank. After long-term use, the diesel in the tank will come into contact with the air or the tank wall, which will produce a lot of dirt. Some of the dirt will sink to the bottom of the tank, and the other part will adhere to the tank wall. At the same time, dust or water will inevitably enter the tank every day. Therefore, the fuel tank should be cleaned every 1000-1500 hours, otherwise it will be contaminated even if all the diesel is added.
