The channel sources of construction machinery parts are very complex, including so-called original parts, OEM parts, sub-factory parts, and high imitation parts.
As the name suggests, the original parts are the same spare parts as the original car. This kind of spare part is the best quality and the most expensive in the aftermarket, because it is almost exactly the same as the spare parts assembled on the new machine when it leaves the factory. It comes from the same assembly line as those assembled on the new machine. The same technical standards, the same quality.
OEM means original equipment manufacturer, commonly known as “foundry.” A piece of equipment has tens of thousands or even tens of thousands of parts. It is impossible for so many parts to be developed and manufactured by the whole machine factory. Therefore, the OEM mode appears. The whole machine factory is responsible for the main design and development of the control equipment. And standard setting, the OEM factory is responsible for producing parts according to the design and standards of the OEM. Of course, the OEM factory is authorized by the OEM. Most of the spare parts in the contemporary construction machinery industry are produced by OEM, and these spare parts produced in the foundry will eventually have two destinations. One is to be marked with the LOGO of the complete machine factory and sent to the complete machine factory to become Original parts, the second is to use their own brand packaging to flow into the spare parts market, which are OEM parts. The characteristic of OEM parts is that the product quality is the same as the original parts (the only difference is that there is no original LOGO). Because part of the original brand’s added value is missing, the price is generally lower than the original parts.
The sub-factory parts are also the products of the foundry. The difference between it and the OEM parts is that the foundry does not obtain the authorization of the complete machine factory, nor does it produce parts in accordance with the technical standards of the complete machine factory. Therefore, the sub-factory parts are only supplied for spare parts. Market, and unable to enter the door of the whole machine factory. There are many factories in China. They find some commonly used spare parts and come back to develop molds again, build some simple production equipment, carry out workshop-style production, and then sell them to the spare parts market under their own brands. This kind of brand parts are generally low in price and uneven in quality. They are also a good option for consumers who are looking for cheaper, because such sub-factory parts are at least genuine products that are dignifiedly following the low-price and low-quality route.
High imitation parts refer to the packaging of inferior parts into the original factory or high-end brand, and sell them as original parts or high-end brand parts. To put it bluntly, this is a fake and shoddy product. Their packaging can be as fake as it is, and even professionals are difficult to distinguish. The hardest hit area for high imitation parts is the oil and maintenance market.
