Failure phenomenon
1. The black smoke phenomenon caused by insufficient air intake or leakage of the intake pipe. Due to the long-term use of the excavator, the aging and damage of the intake hose and the pipe clamp will cause the pipe to leak, suck in large dust, and block the air cooler, etc., which will cause black Smoke phenomenon. If this kind of problem occurs, it should be dealt with in time, otherwise the engine will experience early wear and tear, or even pull cylinders and other failures.
2. If the engine emits a lot of black smoke and the power drop is relatively large, it is necessary to check whether there is oil leakage in the intake pipe of the turbocharger, the turbine wheel of the turbocharger, and whether the blades are broken, worn, or deformed. , Whether there is scratch damage in the turbocharger housing, and whether the impeller shaft clearance exceeds 3 mm.
If these phenomena occur, the turbocharger must be replaced.
3. Check whether the diesel pump and fuel injector are worn out and caused by black smoke. The excavator is still powerful when the engine is emitting black smoke, but the engine speed will drop (over 200 rpm).

4. If the engine EGR valve is damaged or stuck, it will also cause black smoke. If the EGR valve fails, an alarm will appear on the display. 5. The excavator is weak when the engine emits black smoke, and there is a change of sound when the engine is working under load. At this time, it is likely that the power of the hydraulic pump exceeds the power of the engine to cause black smoke.
