Q1: Can this split flange be used on hydraulic circuits exceeding its rated pressure?
A1: No. Exceeding rated pressure will cause flange deformation, O-ring extrusion failure, oil leakage or even sudden oil spray, which brings safety risks. Long-time overpressure operation will also cause irreversible fatigue damage to the flange base material, and the hidden danger will still exist even after returning to normal pressure.

Q2: What are the common causes of oil leakage at the split flange?
A2: It may be loose locking bolts, aging or damaged O-ring, dirt and metal debris trapped in the sealing groove, flange deformation caused by external collision, or uneven bolt tightening force on both sides of the split flange.

Q3: What should be noticed before installation?
A3: Clean the sealing surface and sealing groove to remove impurities, burrs and residual old seal fragments; check that the O-ring is intact, free of cuts and hardening; tighten the locking bolts alternately and evenly step by step to avoid uneven compression of the sealing assembly.

Q4: Can a deformed split flange continue to be used after correction?
A4: It is not recommended. Flange deformation will lead to uneven sealing pressure, which is prone to repeated leakage under pressure. Even after manual correction, internal residual stress still exists, and it will deform again under hydraulic shock load, better to replace the new flange directly.

Q5: What are the requirements for the hydraulic oil used with this flange?
A5: It is recommended to use L-HM46 anti-wear hydraulic oil. Dirty and deteriorated oil contains hard particles, which will scratch the sealing surface and cut the O-ring. Oil mixed with water will also accelerate the rust of the flange and corrode the rubber seal.

Q6: What will happen if the flange bolts are tightened unevenly?
A6: Uneven tightening will tilt the split flange, cause partial over-compression of the sealing ring, and the other side is not sealed tightly, leading to continuous oil leakage. Severe over-tightening may also crack the flange body.
