Q1: Can this steering pump work continuously above its rated working pressure?
A1: No. Long-term overpressure will cause gear deformation, internal seal failure, sharp flow drop, and even pump body cracking, which will make the steering fail suddenly and bring safety risks.

Q2: What are the common causes of steering pump failure or oil leakage?
A2: It may be aging internal seals, wear of gear pair, loose oil port joints, impurity blockage inside the pump, or impact deformation of pump housing.

Q3: What should be noticed before installation?
A3: Clean the pump body, oil ports and pipeline to remove iron scraps and dirt; check splines and sealing rings intact; align the spline position gently and avoid forced hammering.

Q4: Can a pump with slight internal wear be disassembled and repaired for reuse?
A4: It is not recommended. After the gear meshing surface is worn, the internal clearance changes, and the flow and pressure cannot be restored to the original level, steering will be weak and unstable. It is safer to replace the pump assembly.

Q5: What are the requirements for the matched hydraulic oil?
A5: It is recommended to use L-HM46 anti-wear hydraulic oil. Dirty, deteriorated or water-emulsified oil contains hard particles, which will scratch the gear surface and accelerate internal wear.
