Case:

Vibration measurements were performed on the main hoisting gearbox of a container crane.

The frequency spectrum recorded on the gearbox showed clear fault frequency peaks related to high-speed shaft bearings. These recorded failure frequencies indicate damage to the bearing outer ring raceway and rolling elements.
