During the anatomy and analysis of the malfunctioning gear selector, it was found that most of the gear selectors are actually good, and they can still be used normally after being reassembled on the car. What’s the problem? During the energization experiment, the interlocking electromagnet installed on the circuit board is very hot. We can see that the electromagnet starts to work when the power is turned on, and the coil heats up when it is energized for a long time. The internal space of the gear selector itself is narrow, due to the need for waterproof and dustproof, it is completely enclosed all around, with only a small vent hole. So the heat dissipation effect is very poor. After testing, under normal ambient temperature, the internal temperature reaches about 60 ℃ when the power is turned on for 10 hours, and the temperature near the electromagnet is higher. However, some electronic components, such as optical couples and restorable fuses, are extremely unstable at such high temperatures. This also leads to unstable operation of the gear selector itself.
The XP261 tire roller is also equipped with a power shift gearbox. The gear selector used is basically the same as the previous one. The only difference is that it lacks a clutch protection interlocking electromagnet (the box has a torque converter, and it can be used directly without stepping on the clutch. Shift). But its failure rate is extremely low.
It can be judged from this that the heating of the electromagnet is the main factor that causes the gear selector to work abnormally.
