1. Check the tension of the belt

Choose to apply moderate pressure with the thumb in the middle of the longest unsupported drive belt span. If the belt depression is about 10 mm, the belt tension is considered to be just right. If the tension of the transmission belt is too large, or too loose, it may cause slippage and incomplete transmission. If the transmission belt is adjusted too tightly, the transmission belt will be easily stretched and deformed. At the same time, it will also accelerate the wear of the pulley and bearing. For this reason, the relevant adjusting nuts or bolts should be loosened to adjust the belt tension to the best condition.

2, pay attention to the wear of the belt

Vehicle owners should pay special attention to belt wear during daily inspections. Because if the belt is worn severely, the contact area between the belt and the pulley will be sharply reduced. At this time, as long as the belt is pressed hard, the belt will sink deeply into the groove of the pulley.

3, pay attention to belt cracks
