How to install the crankshaft? How to remove it? What to pay attention to?

1, the disassembly steps of the crankshaft

① Loosen the main bearing cap bolts evenly and symmetrically several times from two sides to the center.

②Using the removed main bearing cap bolts, pry back and forth and remove the main bearing cap and the lower thrust washer (only at the No. 3 main bearing cap).

To ensure that each bearing and bearing cover can be matched, place the main bearing cover and the lower thrust washer in order when disassembling.

③ Lift out the crankshaft and remove the upper bearing and upper thrust piece from the cylinder block.

④ Inspect each main bearing and journal for scratches and pitting. If it is minor, you can do a simple treatment.

⑤ Put the disassembled crankshaft flywheel parts in order.

2. Crankshaft installation steps

① Put the cleaned cylinder block upside down on the workbench and blow it with compressed air. The oil passages on the cylinder block and crankshaft should be blown repeatedly with compressed air.

②Install each bearing on the crankshaft in order.

The upper bearing has oil holes and oil grooves.

③ Align the bearing protrusions and the grooves of the cylinder block, and install 5 upper bearings in order; align the bearing protrusions and the grooves of the main bearing cover, and install 5 lower bearings in order.

④ Install the crankshaft thrust washer. First, install two upper thrust plates at the position of the No. 3 journal of the cylinder block, place the crankshaft on the cylinder block with the oil groove facing out, and then install two lower thrust plates on the No. 3 bearing cap, the one with oil groove One side faces outwards.

⑤ Install the crankshaft main bearing cap. Install 5 main bearing caps in sequence. Apply a thin layer of engine oil under the threads and bolt heads of the main bearing cap bolts, and tighten the 10 main bearing cap bolts evenly from the middle to the two sides with a torque of 60 N.m.
